This poem gives the message that peace is timeless. Peace is what people have stiven for for years and people will continue to strive for for years to come. It will always be what people are seraching and working for.
This poem is compelling to me because I believe it to be a message so simply put. The author used few words to get thir point accross. And i believe thier point to be very true. people will always disagree and quarrels will always arise but all we truely want is peace. yet Peace is but a beautiful dream for ancient and future times.

i agree very much so with the analysis you wrote. Becasue the poem is short and sweet, the message within it is right there for you to see, and it is a good one...that peace is timeless. And i also agree that peace is a common dream that many people have, yet it lies in the past or possibly the future; But we should all hope for it.

Wow, i think this is a great analysis of a diffucult poem. It is confusiong but i agree with your thoughts of peace being timeless and overcomeing years in the past. It is so simple and pure that to get the full impact of this peom you have to read it a few times and reach more indepth to see what the authur is trying to express and you did that very well:)
