As we finish with our unit on Much Ado About Nothing, consider what stereotypes (racial, class, gender, etc.) are present in the play and how they effect your interpretation of the events portrayed. Do you think Shakespeare believed in the stereotypes he presented or do you feel he was attempting to teach his audience a lesson about misjudging others or about forcing people to conform to tradition?

I believe that Shakespeare was really trying to express his feelings agains stereotypes. He effectively showed that the watchmen were low socially through their seemingly uneducated words and the way that it took so mcuh time for anyone to listen to them. When he wrote in prose you can tell that he is trying to show the stereotypes put onto the lowerclass. Yet when Dogberry was right all along and if everyone had just listented to him there would be no problems i think that shakespeare was throwing that in the peoples faces. trying to communicate that those people though low socially are smart and they are people too. I think this play was very impowering to that particular social class, because it sticks up for them in a way.

As we begin to read the play Much Ado About Nothing, consider all the characters in the play who engage in some form of lying. Please create a blog post in which you discuss whether or not lying is ever ethically or morally justified. I believe that lying is almost never ethical. But then we get to those tough situations like hiding Jews during the holocaust. Though lying is not something that we believe to be ethical is allowing people to be brutally murdered, then any better? With much conflict in my own mind i will say though that honesty is always the answer and lying is never ethical. no matter the circumstances. though that is not what will always take place.

In real life i would not hold it against anyone who lied to save an innocent persons life, for that is what i would do. For example, the holocaust. I personally, as a christian, think that God wants us to trust him and to always tell the truth. But what about if your planning a suprise party? not a big deal but this is a time when one may be tempted to lie. maybe theres a way around it but people usually figure oure avoiding their questions. its a tough call.

This poem gives the message that peace is timeless. Peace is what people have stiven for for years and people will continue to strive for for years to come. It will always be what people are seraching and working for.

This poem is compelling to me because I believe it to be a message so simply put. The author used few words to get thir point accross. And i believe thier point to be very true. people will always disagree and quarrels will always arise but all we truely want is peace. yet Peace is but a beautiful dream for ancient and future times.

quarter numero UNO!

Meditate on the events of quarter one. How did you do in this class? What did you learn? Which of your academic skills improved? Where are you still struggling? How is the class environment? What can you do to further strengthen the learning community in our classroom? What are your goals for Q2? Basically, how did things go for you and what can you do to improve or to make things more successful for yourself and others?

I think i did ok this quarter, but i would like to do better. I learned a lot about MLA and most importantly how to write a better thesis statement. Im still having troubles with it, but ive gotten deeper than my purely plot based thesis. I think the class environment is comfortable. I am ..shy. so i still find it hard to be so open to the class and make presentations. but im ok with it because i do feel that it is a safe place. my goals for quarter 2: simply, cut the procrastination. i post blogs late or last second and my papers are also saved till i have little time. this causes me not to do my best work.

Ending Artemis

By now Minerva has decided to give up on the mission due to much persuasion. But Kong is not happy about this. He wants a demon to get revenge on because of his brother's death. He is so angry in fact that he plans on killing Minerva if she doesnt get him a new demon. Artemis hears his gunshots and plans to save Minerva. So he decides to trade with Kong. Minerva for No.1.


When Kong and Artemis meet Kong has a plan. He will put a bomb on No.1 and detatch the silver bullet sending him into his time and blowing up all the demons around him. But his plan will not work, Artemis had thought ahead, being the genius he is, and took the bullet out sending No.1 flying through time again. But he doesnt make it all the way home. When he stops Holly is there to meet him.


There is a big battle between Kong, Minerva, Butler and Holly. when finally Artemis sends them all back to our time. When they arrive at home the police were ready. The murder that Kong had comitted many years ago was exposed to the police and he was charged for it.


While they were gone Abbot crowned himself the king of the demons.


Holly, Artemis, No.1 and Qwan. Abbot finds out and approaches them with an army not far behind. Artemis accuses Abbot of stealing magic. Proving that magic can be stolen by pointing his finger and shooting sparks. He had "stolen" this magic from the time tunnel. more battling.


Abbot stabs Holly with a sword that is cursed so magic cannot heal her, quickly killing her. Soon Qwan and No.1 are killed as well. Artemis fires some sort of energy from Holly's Neutrino. The blast from the energy went into the past and hit Abbot only moments before he was able to stab holly. He was unconscious from the blast, therefore Holly, Qwan and No.1 were left uninjured.


Now they had five magical beings to reverse the time spell. Qwan, Holly, Artemis, No.1 and Abbot. So they go to the Volcano and as they are trying to reverse the time spell. While trying to reverse the time spell Qweffor comes out of Abbot. Only a little while later when Qweffor calls him Runt they know that Abbot was back. So they got Abbot out of Qweffor's body and put him into a Guinea pig.

Because of all the time travel Artemis now has twin siblings, the demons were taken underground and Minerva had grown to be very beautiful.

No.1 is developing more and more warlock traits. One of which is a voice in his head. This secret voice is telling him to take off his silver and go to the volcano so that he can travel time. Silver is like an anchoring device that glues the person/creature to the time that they are in.

At this same time Butler and Artemis are traveling to sicily Italy. they have calculated this is where the next demon will appear. while waiting around for the demon Butler notices a girl that he recognised from when they were in Spain. The girl seemed irrelavant and insignificant then, but since she was now here she must know about demons as well. And then comes Holly Short, LEP official. They were all waiting around for the demon. But they didnt have to wait too long. No. 1 appears right on schedule. quickly he is shot with a silver dart so he is now stuck in our time. the girl who was obviously the brians behind the silver dart. Together they run off and hop on a train.

We soon learn that The girls name is Minerva's Paradizo. We learn all about her and the men that accompany her on her travels. She is with a Frenchman who is her father, a Latin man named Juan Sotow who is their security chief, and aTaiwanese man named Billy Kong, also for security. Kong had a brother named Eric. Billy's real name is Jonah. Eric came back one night after a gang fight and told Jonah that he was fighting demons that could peel off their faces and eat "under-tens" at night. Later, a Gang killed Ericover a girl. But Jonah knew it was erally demons. When Eric was killedJonah moved to Taiwan, south of Taipei where he became a petty thief. One knight he killed a man with a kitchen knife so he moved to Paris and changed his name to Billy Kong.

Minerva questions No.1 and finds that he has even more warlock characteristics. He is able to speak in tongues. We find out that the two things that Abbowt returned to the demon times with (the book and crossbow) were not heroicly stolen from the himans but were traded for the time tunnel calculations with Minerva.

While trying to break into the Paradizo complex Holly is captured. She is now with Billy Kong. Billy asks her about his brother and requests she peels her face. Holly escapes her chains tells him she can peel her whole body and then knocks him unconscious.

Holly and Artemis are on a team against Minerva. So they make a plan. Holly escapes with No.1 and some research papers and Foaly crashes her computer system.

imp no.1

Since last post we have learned a lot about our friend imp no.1. We learn that his given name is runt, and this fits him perfectly. eventhough he is much older than the other imps he has not yet warped, he is only an awkward cute little creature hated and mocked by all.

He believes himself to be a warlock, which have not existed since demons have been booted from time. But while being challenged by Abbot the "self proclaimed savior" of the demons he magically turns wood into stone. This is additional proof to the fact that he has yet to warp that imp no.1 is not a demon, but a warlock.

We learn about some of the demon history and feelings. Demons love to hunt and kill but their one true desire to to come back to earth and takeover humans, kill them all. to "They will be crushed like the grass beneath our boots. We will tear their heads off like dandilion flowers" (Colfer 75)
